“My wife and I have bought and sold homes in Connecticut five times and without doubt Barbara is the most effective, energetic and competent realtor we’ve ever dealt with. During our last sale we needed every one of those skills. Our house was on the market for over two years. On a recommendation from a close friend we asked Barbara to evaluate the house, suggest a course of action and help us implement it. Within 24 hours she provided a thorough and thoughtful report which we followed to a tee. Within 7 days we had an offer. The buyers were difficult throughout the process but Barbara worked with their broker to move along the inspection, production of appropriate legal documents and final closing date. “Having been a long time residents of Westport we were familiar with the ups and downs of the market but hadn’t realized the market had weaken and become more sluggish in the intervening 9 months since our initial meeting with LJ (Barbara’s partner). Barbara’s analysis of the current market was very thorough and while disappointing from a pricing perspective it clearly demonstrated her grasp and knowledge of the market fundamentals. Recognizing that we wanted a quick sale her rationale and recommendations in terms of timing, staging and pricing were spot on as we received 3 offers at the full asking price four days after the house was put on the market. This was the first time we had sold any kind of real estate and somewhat complicating the process was our physical absence from Westport during this period. She helped us three years ago with finding a rental and we asked Barbara for help again two months ago, based upon our previous experience. “Due to relocation, we sadly made the decision to depart Westport. We knew we were going to be going in to a sluggish market, so we needed some advice and Barbara came in, sat down with us and gave us the hard facts. My husband and I began our house search while I was 4 months pregnant so needless to say the pressure of time was a big factor in our process. We also had a 2 year old daughter so our time to view homes was limited. Updated Summer 2017.. Well, we did move again. This time we wanted to buy, and once again we called Barbara. She found us the perfect home.
